Our gift to you...your gift to others
One of our goals at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries in 2012 is to do everything we can to make this year a time of working toward Tikkun Olam – repairing the world.
But we know that to repair this world, we must all participate. That’s why we’re distributing our Free Mount Sinai Limited Edition Tzedakah boxes to community members across California, Arizona and Nevada. With our gift, we hope all of you will join us in performing the mitzvah of Tzedakah more often – and more meaningfully – by giving in small amounts to whatever charity moves you the most.
To make your contribution even more inspirational, we’re encouraging donations in honor or in memory of a loved one. We’ve included space on every box for inscription of the names or charity of your choice.
The joy of Tzedakah
I personally remember the blue tin box that sat on my family’s kitchen shelf when I was a child. I remember how good it made me feel when I’d drop a coin inside… how I felt like I was doing my part and that I was making a difference. I knew back then and still know now that Tzedakah is just as much about empowering the giver as it is the receiver.
Locating a Tzedakah box in your home makes that special place a center of kindness. It will stand as a reminder that as the Talmud, B. Bava Batra 9a teaches us, Tzedakah is the equivalent of all the mitzvot of the Torah.
Order your free Mount Sinai Tzedakah box here or by calling us at 800.600.0076. Together, let’s make 2012 a year of charity, peace and healing.
